"Falling In Love" doesn't quite describe the ridiculousness of our story...It felt more like slamming on the gas pedal of a delorean! Regardless, the next season of our lives propelled us into the "growing in love" atmosphere. It's not easy to be miles apart feeling like you're worlds apart for months on end that seem like decades. The 8 months or so following our engagement were difficult but a blessing! The wedding at the other end of my tunnel vision proved to be more than worth it. It was a glorious day filled with peace and contentment.

We were thankful to finally get Angie into the country after countless hoops and more spare change than we had. However, we'll take facing obstacles together over facing them separately every time.

Years ago God told Angie that she'd be living in Michigan and then she tried...and wasn't let in. Seriously. It's a long story even for me so I will spare you this time (also, she didn't do anything wrong.) However, God did bring it about and that's where we've been establishing our marriage.

For the past 2 years I have been working at Great Lakes Recovery Center in a teacher, counselor, and parental role to teenagers with substance abuse. Most have childhood trauma much more serious than their teenage hormones or drug addictions alone. It has been both rewarding and challenging. At the end of the day, they need what we all need...LOVE.

Angie on the other hand has been experiencing nearly every pregnancy symptom known to man! OK, not really, but my girl has had some serious discomfort the last 9 months. We're hopeful that the birth of our baby boy will erase the memories of nausea, heartburn, aches, pains, etc...quickly!

Anyway, our lives are about to change! We're about to become parents which in itself is going to be an adventure. We are also about to embark on a journey with AIM again. I've been given the position of Missionary Care Coordinator and we will be moving down to Georgia with a newborn during the second week of September!!!

In the blogs to come, I'll fill you in on our roles and the transitions that are coming. We'd love to have you follow us and join in with us on this journey! Also, I'll make sure to put up some pictures of our little guy shortly after I get to hold him...hopefully in the next week or two so stay tuned!
