Do you remember that movie? Believe it or not the only time I saw that was in a the basement of a small building that was set up as a homemade theater in Himalayan mountains. There were hand made wooden benches skirted around a pot belly stove. These benches of course were covered in yak leather and the movie of the night came with tea and popcorn. A group of us guys watched this just a couple days before cresting the top of the Himalayan range before heading back down 16,000 feet to where we started. What I have to talk about in this blog has little to do with this but I just wanted to go down memory lane…
However, I wanted to let you all know that Ang, Kohen and I have made it to Gainesville, GA safely. We haven't fully unpacked yet and have been quite busy while getting acclimated to all of our changes. We would love prayer for discernment and favor through this transition. We've got a lot to balance right now and would love prayer that we would be able to balance things well and honor people well.
Tomorrow I will be leading a team of CGA (Center for Global Action) apprentices "into the wild" for a week. The apprentices have all been on the race and are going through a discipleship process at AIM. Please pray that God would meet the participants and leaders in a very real and impactful way this week! I know I could use some pretty specific direction and encouragement this week! Who doesn't though? It would be cool if you found someone near you to encourage this week as well because they could use it as well 🙂
Also, Angie and Kohen will be joining us Tuesday night and will be camping with us until the end! What troopers eh? It will be our first family camping trip! If you attempt to get a hold of us this week and we seem to be avoiding the phones, it may just be that we're out of cell service in the mountains…
We'll see ya next week 🙂
